Barbara Stone 9-22-14Barbara Stone is a workshop leader, psychotherapist in private practice, and a professor at  Energy Medicine University, a distance learning program.  She is fluent in both English and Spanish.  The topic of healing is very close to her heart, as she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1991.  Her first book, Cancer As Initiation: Surviving the Fire (1994, Open Court Publishing Company) is the autobiographical account of her holistic approach to recovery from this illness and was the basis of her doctoral dissertation on the emotional factors influencing cancer survival.  After recovering from cancer, her clinical work took an unexpected turn as clients began to bring earthbound spirits and past life trauma into her therapy office.  Since nothing in her education taught her how to deal with these issues, she searched the literature base and sought help from colleagues.  Her second book, Invisible Roots: How Healing Past Life Trauma Can Liberate Your Present, is the result of her phenomenological research into these unseen realms and the protocols she developed to help free  her clients by ministering to the wounds of past incarnations and people no longer in physical bodies. Her colleague and friend Bert Fellows came up with name “Soul Detective” for her work because it uses muscle testing to find out how the spiritual realm is impacting the client.
